Distribution of new clothes to 568 students on the occasion of Diwali

A total of 568 students with disabilities, needing care and protection were distributed new clothes on the occasion of Diwali with the joint cooperation of 'Sakal Social Foundation' of Sakal Media Group and Shree Mukund Bhavan Trust of Pune.

In a program organized at Pune Andha School (Children) at Koregaon Park, Sri Mukund Bhavan Trust Executive Trustee Purushottam Lohia, Trustee Khushboo Lohia, Maheshwari Samaj Shriram Mandir Trustee Sharad Sarada, Balkrishna Karwa and 'Sakal Social Foundation' Trustee Mahendra Pisal. New clothes were distributed to the students of the school. A large number of school principal Damodar Sargam, administration officer Krishna Shewale, teachers, students and parents were present on the occasion.

Beneficiary students include Pune Andhashala (girls) at Kothrud run by 'The Poona School and Home for the Blind', Pune Andhashala (boys) at Koregaon Park and Yerwada, Shivajinagar, Pune run by 'Balgram SOS Children's Villages, Maharashtra'. Students from five branches namely Panvel, Kolhapur and Ambernath are included. All the students were happy to get new clothes for Diwali.

The opportunity to sweeten the Diwali of disabled and special need students was available to us through 'Sakal Social Foundation'. The joy on the faces of all the students after receiving new clothes was heart-warming. On behalf of Shri Mukund Bhavan Trust and in collaboration with 'Sakal Social Foundation', various social activities are continuously being carried out. organized
